Chicago Fire look almost certain to take a forward with their ninth overall pick of the 2011 MLS SuperDraft on Thursday.
The Fire have recently acquired defenders Cory Gibbs and Josip Mikulic indicating that an attacking player is more likely to take their facny.
Historically, Chicago have used their first pick to select a promising Generation adidas player and this year it should be no different with one of two forwards likely to end up at Toyota Park.
Indiana's Will Bruin and Penn State's Corey Hertzog are on the Fire's radar and so is Ecuadorian striker Victor Estupinan.
But Fire technical director Frank Klopas admitted the club was not yet sure who they would go for on draft day.
"You've got to see who's available with that pick," Klopas said.
