Chicago Fire keeper Johnson set for Everton spell
Chicago Fire goalkeeper Sean Johnson will train with Premier League club Everton this winter.
The 22-year old was set to spend time with English champions Manchester United but it has now been confirmed that he will head Merseyside to link up with the Toffees and fellow American gloveman Tim Howard.
"He’ll be in a different environment where he can learn from a talented keeper in Tim Howard and go up against Premier League players," Fire head coach Frank Klopas said. "It benefits us as much as it does for him to have that experience."
Johnson, who emerged as the Fire’s number one in the 2011 season, will be with Everton from December 4 until 10.
