Chicago Fire have sponsors of steel

Chicago Fire have signed a multi-year sponsorship renewal with global steel distributor Magellan Corporation, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. Magellan, along with a selection of the company's charity partners, will receive branding throughout the Fire's home Toyota Park stadium, including LED boards, locker room branding, and logos on the home and away benches.

Magellan will also be the presenting partner of the club's 'Season Kickoff Luncheon' at their first home game of the season against the Vancouver Whitecaps on 14th March.

The deal was renewed and expanded a year before a previous deal had concluded.

"Soccer is such an international sport that our relationship with the Chicago Fire fits very nicely into our global footprint. Our ongoing partnership with the Fire has yielded an excellent return on investment and, just as importantly, has provided us with the opportunity to promote some Chicagoland charitable organisations," said Bob Arthur, president of Magellan Corporation.

The chosen charities in receipt of branding and hospitality benefits this year are La Rabida Children's Hospital, Old Town School of Folk Music, Gilda's Club Chicago, and the DuSable Museum.
