Chicago Fire bring in Ecuadorian striker Anangono

Chicago Fire have confirmed the signing of Juan Luis Anangono from Argentinos Juniors.

The 24-year old Ecuadorian striker will be added to the Fire's roster pending receipt of his International Transfer Certificate and P1 Visa, and will occupy a Designated Player slot.

Fire's president of soccer operations Javier Leon was delighted to welcome the former Barcelona SC and El Nacional man to Toyota Park.

"Juan Luis is a young, up-and-coming goal scorer who is technically gifted and can hold the ball well," said Leon.

"He provides us with attacking options and will bolster our squad, not only for the second half of the season, but for the future."
