With many other MLS teams facing opponents behind closed doors, for the Chicago Fire, playing in Mexico is a whole different experience. Facing Queretaro FC in La Corregidora and having Mexican legend Cuauhtémoc Blanco on your team means the local crowds are mobbing your buses and the enthusiasm is at a whole different level.
The game, which attracted 15,000 fans, ended in a 1-1 draw with Justin Mapp scoring for Chicago at the end of the first half and Queretaro equalizing late in the second half.
Chicago Fire return to the USA Sunday to begin further preparations for the start of the MLS season.
