Chicago Fire acquire MLS rights of ex-Leeds United winger Rogers

Chicago Fire are poised to sign Robbie Rogers after they acquired his MLS rights from Columbus Crew.

The 25-year old winger is set to return to MLS after departing Leeds United last month and is expected to suit up for the Fire after they traded Dominic Oduro to the Crew in exchange for Rogers' rights and midfielder Dilly Duka.

Rogers struggled to make an impression at Elland Road after joining from Columbus in January 2012 and will now head back to North America's domestic league where he has scored 13 goals and produced 16 assists in just over 100 outings.
