Chiapas' Bautista linked with Guadalajara return

Jaguares de Chiapas forward Adolfo Bautista is being linked with a return to Chivas de Guadalajara.

The 30-year old former Mexico international is being pursued by his former club who he won the Mexican Championship with in 2006 but as Chivas president Rafael Lebrija revealed to Mural, he is also free to sign with any other club when his contract runs out at the end of the year.

"We are interested in him, and obviously if he doesn't sign a contract with his, the play is free to sign a contract with any team outside of Mexico," Lebrija said.

"He can play not only for Chivas USA but with any other team in MLS or he could go to any other part of the world."

Chivas are believed to be preparing an offer of $1.5million but Jaguares want $2.6million. Lebrija said he was hoping to come to an agreement.

"However you look at it, he's an interesting player," Lebrija said. "We hope to come to an agreement but if that does not happen he is free to join any team outside of Mexico."
