Manchester City defender Clayton McDonald is going on a month's loan to Chesterfield.

The centre half has already had experience of Division Two this season, with a spell at Macclesfield back in September.

The 20-year-old links up with Lee Richardson's Spireites, currently 11th in the table, with a view to joining the squad in time for Saturday's home game against Lincoln City.
