Hull City defender James Chester has welcomed the influx of new signings.
Chester has been part of the set-up at the KC Stadium since January 2011, with Nigel Pearson snapping him up from Manchester United for £300,000.
He told the Hull Daily Mail from the club's pre-season training base in Portugal: "The changes have been huge during the three-and-a-half years I've been here, but especially in the last two years.
"The quality of players we've been able to bring in has made it a huge turnaround.
"There's probably only Rosenior, Paul and Oxley who were here before the manager now. That's quite scary really.
"That comes with the progress we've made. You have to strengthen because the gulf in quality is so big.
"The gaffer has done a great job in bringing in some real quality players and they'll help us keep improving."
