Chester defender Sam Hughes is being tracked by Burnley and Crystal Palace.
The highly-rated 19-year-old has been linked with a move away from the National League side, with Chester reportedly rejecting a 'substantial bid' from Championship side Barnsley in January.
The Daily Mail has reported that Burnley could target Hughes to replace England new boy Michael Keane, if he leaves this summer.
It is understood that Palace also sent scouts to watch Hughes yesterday (Saturday) as Chester won 1-0 at Bromley - having previously watched him last month against Gateshead.
