Cheltenham boss Martin Allen is likely to pass on signing Arsenal defender Rene Steer.

Steer has returned to the Gunners after trials at Cheltenham last week and Allen admits he can't offer him first team football.

He said: "Rene Steer did well and I will check his situation with Arsenal, but Alan Wright is doing well for us at left-back at the moment."
