Chelsea's Terry desperate to lead England against Croatia

Chelsea captain John Terry wants to lead England on Wednesday against Croatia.

The Three Lions skipper has completed his rehabilitation from a knee operation and will report for training today with Steve McClaren's squad ahead of Wednesday's Wembley clash.

Terry has not played for Chelsea since injuring himself the day before last month's England defeat in Russia.

But his presence would be a boost as Rio Ferdinand is suspended.

Chelsea coach Avram Grant has told his captain that he can play against Croatia if he is fit.
