Jose Mourinho has sent Chelsea captain John Terry a 'get well soon' text message after the defender's knee op.

Terry, 26, has been upset by accusations he was partly to blame for Mourinho's departure and that he has fallen out with team-mates such as Didier Drogba as a result.

But yesterday Terry, who is expected to be out for four weeks after a knee operation to remove a piece of floating bone, had a glut of text messages and was delighted to find one from Mourinho saying: "Speedy recovery".

A source close to Terry told the Daily Mail: "JT's buzzing. This meant a lot to him."
