Chelsea captain John Terry has backed England boss Fabio Capello's treatment of Frank Lampard and Liverpool's Steven Gerrard. Terry believes the Italian handled the situation deftly and will expect better co-operation in future.
The Chelsea defender added: "I think the boss has been clever here. Stevie Gerrard has a muscle problem so would have been a big risk in this game. There have been some problems but maybe in future he'll use this to help him.
"He might go to clubs ahead of a big match and say 'Remember last time I was lenient. But I really need you this time'."
