Chelsea's Sidwell eager to make Champions League debut

Chelsea midfielder Steve Sidwell is keen to taste Champions League football for the first time against Rosenborg on Tuesday.

Sidwell said: "Obviously it's the first time I've been involved in the competition. I've watched it before but this is a different ball game now.

"In the Champions League, any team that qualifies is going to be a good team so every one will be a challenge, but the players we have here and the experience we have in the competition, we should be prepared.

"I've not had any experience in that department. The Premier League is very fast, the pace is 100 miles per hour, and it can be that in Europe but they have a more subtle pace - you have a go, we have a go, and the quality will be higher too. It's good to play different teams from different countries."
