Chelsea's Shevchenko prepared to wait for chance

Chelsea striker Andriy Shevchenko hopes to see action tonight against Tottenham.

"That's for the manager, after my injury I am improving and feel much better now, so I'm ready to help the team," Shevchenko said.

The Ukrainian scored at Tottenham in last season's FA Cup quarterfinal replay victory and also told Chelsea's website: "It was a fantastic goal and a great game for us, to get into the semi-final of the Cup.

"Chelsea played fantastic football and created more chances, it was a very important game.

"No, maybe not the most important, but maybe the most beautiful. The most important was against Porto, but that was special.

"It was better than the one against Aston Villa this season. That is because it was my left foot, the dynamic is different, and I couldn't believe it."
