AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi and his No2, Adriano Galliani, have both publicly declared they'd welcome back Sheva - though coach Carlo Ancelotti remains reluctant.

However, on Wednesday night, Sheva sat next to Ancelotti on the Milan bus as the players were taken back to their hotel after the game.

"They're all old friends and have accepted me well," Shevchenko told Tuttosport. "I have never really left."
