Chelsea's Obi Mikel can't see African team winning World Cup
Chelsea's Nigeria midfielder John Obi Mikel is unsure if a home nation will win next year's World Cup.
Fabio Capello no less has identified Ivory Coast as potential challengers in South Africa and it is worth bearing in mind that traditionally European nations do not triumph at World Cups outside Europe.
Mikel however remains cautious about his continent's chances.
"I would like one my African brothers or an African country to win it but the way football in Europe is going - the quality of the game they are playing which is getting faster and better every day - I support the African teams but I can see one of the European countries winning it," he told chelseafc.com.

All you Mikel bashers have failed to realise its a fact or u're decieving your souls of an African world cup triumph. If 4 one African country that can do it, will be Nigeria and thats why the question was thrown to him. England 4 sure will do it this time.
Mikel think that he`s white now because he`s playing in europe....U will always be african and do support them instead of f...
U're a fish Mikel for that comment. But I tell u, watch out for Ghana in SA 2010. U can speak for ur loosing Naija n not for the whole of Africa.
