Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel's future with Nigeria is again in doubt.

Obi Mikel could be thrown out of Nigeria's World Cup campaign after being pelted with bottles of urine by angry fans.

They are furious the Chelsea midfielder failed to show for two friendlies. They were both left out of last weekend's qualifier against Kenya. And Mikel, 22, was hit by plastic bottles of urine as he watched the game from the VIP stand, sitting alongside Joseph Yobo, the Everton defender.

The Nigerian FA are set to take more severe action against Mikel than Yobo for his recent no-shows.
