After several weeks of speculation Le Parisien reports that veteran French defensive-midfielder Claude Makelele is not interested in swapping Chelsea for Paris Saint-Germain.

Media speculation has been intense on PSG over the last few weeks as new President Charles Villeneuve attempts to quickly mould a team once again capable of challenging for a European spot.

According to Le Parisien the destructive Chelsea midfielder would prefer to sign a 2 year extension to his deal at Stamford Bridge and play under incoming manager Filipe Scolari.

Scolari is thought to be a big admirer of Makelele's organisational abilities on the football field and could lay the foundations of a side around him.
