Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard urged Harry Redknapp to sign Wigan's Wilson Palacios for Tottenham.

As Redknapp prepared his squad for tonight's Carling Cup semi-final second leg at Burnley, he said: "I like the way Palacios plays, he's an all-round modern midfielder.

"Frank Lampard reckons no one has had an easy game against him. He has the ability to become real top class.

"Manchester City came in for Palacios last week but the Tottenham chairman is trying to sort out the deal now after we agreed a fee with Wigan."
