Chelsea's Lampard to see ban scrapped

The three-week suspension for Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard will be scrapped today.

The Daily Mail says Lampard's ban will be rescinded by the FA today after blundering referee Peter Walton admitted he made a mistake when he sent off the Chelsea star.

Lampard was shown the red card after assistant referee Guy Beale claimed the midfielder was guilty of violent conduct by pushing West Ham midfielder Luis Boa Morte in the chest.

Walton dismissed Lampard, but the referee has since reviewed the match video and told FA chiefs in his report that he has made a mistake.
