Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard is delighted with his form after Saturday's 6-0 victory over Manchester City.
"The England thing is not important to me at the moment," said Lampard. "What's important is playing well for Chelsea.
"If the England thing comes and I start playing again then I'll play, regardless of what anyone says from outside. I feel like I'm playing on the top of my game.
"I feel very fresh and hungry. I've got no questions to answer. I'm happy with what I've done over the past few years, very confident about it.
"There are times during the season when you feel like you can't put a pass straight. Everyone has those phases and that's when you've got to be really strong.
"I've dropped below the standards I want to set.
"What player doesn't? When you get to the top there are people waiting for you to come down. I've had that but it doesn't bother me.
"When things are going well it's pretty easy. And this game felt easy because everyone was contributing."
