Chelsea fullback Paulo Ferreira was delighted with his comeback game in Tuesday night's 0-0 draw with Valencia.

"It was fantastic. I was not expecting to play tonight, but they put me in, and it was good. I don't feel 100 percent but I feel ok, and think I had a good game," he told Chelsea's website.

Ferreira was replaced by Juliano Belletti with 19 minutes remaining, but had by that point given Grant something to think about as Sunday's visit to Arsenal looms, making a number of decisive tackles and showing the usual willingness to attack when called upon.

"Two days ago I started training with the team, and after five weeks I think I did it well. I have all this week to improve my fitness, to feel match fit and that's what I will try to do, but tonight I feel ok," smiled the Portuguese defender.
