Chelsea's Drogba wants Champions League ahead of Premiership title

Didier Drogba wants to win the Champions League with Chelsea ahead of the Premiership.

"To win the Premier League back from Manchester United is, of course, hugely important," the 31-year-old told ShortList magazine.

"But I don't think it is any secret that the Champions League has become an obsession for some of the Chelsea players.

"We have come so close before and when you come that close it hurts, it really hurts."

The pain was obvious for everyone to see when Drogba infamously confronted Norwegian referee Tom Henning Ovrebo after Chelsea's defeat by Barcelona in the semi-final last season.

"It's something I shouldn't have done, no question, because fans were watching me," he said.

"I was angry. When something means that much to you it is very hard to control your emotions, but it was not the way to act."
