Chelsea striker Didier Drogba will learn today if he will be banned after his Champions League blow-up last season following defeat to Barcelona.
The Times says the Ivory Coast forward has pleaded his guilt in written submissions to European football's governing body, but he made reference to his prompt apology and previous good conduct in an attempt to lessen the punishment.
If Drogba is banned for up to three matches, the suspension would apply in the group stage of the competition because Chelsea do not face a qualifying match after they finished third in the Barclays Premier League.
