Joe Cole has called on every England fan at Wembley to get behind the players during Wednesday's make-or-break Euro 2008 qualifying clash with Croatia.
The Chelsea midfielder wants complete support from the 90,000 who will be inside the national stadium for a match that could see England qualify for next summer's European Championship.
Cole has revealed his concern at the negative reaction that some England players have received from supporters during an indifferent qualifying campaign.
"The message, as a fan myself, is there is plenty of time to voice your opinion. You can go down the pub with your mates and do it or there are plenty of TV and radio phone-ins to voice your opinion," he said.
"But when you buy that match ticket you've got a job to do in supporting your country and there is no point coming and booing players. It doesn't help anyone.
"The fans can do their bit on Wednesday, as well as us, pull together and then victory will be sweet for everyone.
"Then, if you don't like what we do, there are plenty of avenues open to voice what you feel after the game."
