Chelsea fullback Ashley Cole is in hot water after a gesture to the Arsenal crowd during yesterday's 1-0 defeat.

The Daily Mail says Cole faces an FA charge after directing a two-fingered salute in the direction of Arsenal fans after Chelsea's defeat at the Emirates Stadium.

Cole, jeered on his first return to the north London club since he quit Arsenal in the summer of 2006, reacted at the end.

He was lucky to escape censure when he shoved a hand in Cesc Fabregas's face in the final seconds but nine players still made their way into referee Alan Wiley's notebook.
