Danny Sturridge is desperate for an extended chance with England.
For the win over Sweden, the Chelsea striker came on for Theo Walcott and was asked to play wide on the left but he dreams of being England's No 9.
"I was playing on the wing and it's difficult but it was great to get my debut, so I'm happy," said Sturridge.
"I just want to continue playing for Chelsea and, from there, I want to start playing as a striker and then try and play for England as a striker. That's my aim, to be a No 9 for England.
"Hopefully, the England manager will see me as a striker and give me an opportunity there because that's where I believe I am best."
