Chelsea won't give up on Palermo striker Amauri

Chelsea refuse to give up their bid to land Palermo striker Amauri.

The Daily Mail says Chelsea chief Peter Kenyon has a number of transfer issues to resolve this week, the most pressing being Palermo's 27-year-old striker Amauri.

The Brazilian scored 15 goals in 35 appearances for Palermo but he has been granted his wish to leave the Italian club and has also had offers from both AC Milan and Inter, along with Juventus and Fiorentina.

He is expected to be granted an Italian passport in the summer and that will allow him to move to a Barclays Premier League club without any problems over a work permit.
