Chelsea winger Malouda: Ancelotti talks were ages ago

Chelsea winger Florent Malouda has spoken again about his controversial French interview over the weekend.

Malouda again insisted he never said anything disparaging about Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti nor teammate Frank Lampard.

He told chelseafc.com: "I had a meeting with the manager but it was a long time ago, it was not this week we spoke about this. It was like discussions players and managers have most of the time.

"I was talking [in the interview] about the frustrations over appearing in the big games because of the World Cup but I never spoke about my team-mates, I just said it is the year of the World Cup and I have ambitions with the France national team so I would like to start the big games. I also said that our system is our strength and that is why we are first in the league so in no way I criticised the system or the manager.

"The journalist was just comparing my situation here with my situation with the national team where I have to compete also. I was saying Lamps is a big player who is playing for England in this position so I was just saying that it is not easy. I was taking about my situation. I was not complaining. Anyway I will play big games as I did in the past when I played Champions League and FA Cup Finals."
