Chelsea winger Kevin de Bruyne is proud of last season's loan experience at Werder Bremen.

De Bruyne rates the 12 months the best of his fledgling career.

"I had never played at that level, even in preseason at Chelsea. I ended up in the team and felt that I could do something. I got better and better and that has also translated into a starting spot and good performance with the (Belgian) national team," recalled De Bruyne.
