AC Milan are closing in on a Bosman deal for departing Chelsea winger Joe Cole.
Corriere dello Sport says Cole has bought a house in Milan and the Rossoneri see him as cover for Alexandre Pato.
Cole's England teammate David Beckham, the LA Galaxy star, has been asked by Milan management about the midfielder and given him the thumbs up.
Milan are working to a limited transfer budget this summer and Cole's Bosman status makes him particularly attractive.
