Chelsea are prepared to wait until the summer to sign Celtic striker Moussa Dembele.
The London Evening Standard says Chelsea first registered their interest in Dembele earlier this month and Celtic have put an incredible £40m price tag on the forward's head.
The Scottish champions, who are under no pressure to sell, paid just £500,000 in compensation for his services last summer.
Dembele has starred north of the border, scoring an impressive 20 goals in 38 appearances, including two against Manchester City in the Champions League.
Chelsea want to buy another forward today due to concerns over the form of Michy Batshuayi and the lack of cover for first choice Diego Costa.
