Chelsea willing to pay at least £15m for Tottenham left-back Rose

Chelsea could be set to submit a £15million bid for Tottenham left-back Danny Rose in order to strengthen their defence.

The Mirror suggests that officials from both clubs have met, with Chelsea telling Tottenham to name their price for the England man.

Having sold Filipe Luis back to Atletico Madrid recently, Jose Mourinho has been keen to sign another left-back so as to not leave his squad short for their title defence.

A deal was thought to be in place for Ausburg defender Abdul Baba Rahman, but these latest reports have thrown that deal into doubt.

Spurs are reportedly keen to keep hold of Rose but Chelsea believe that a £17m bid for the 25-year-old may be enough to convince the north Londoners to part with his services.
