Chelsea are prepared to make Real Madrid midfielder Marco Asensio the richest signing in their history.

Chelsea have identified Asensio as a replacement for Eden Hazard, who has so far refused to consider signing new terms with the Blues.

Don Balon says Chelsea have already registered their interest in Asensio with Real Madrid and are willing to go to €135m to sign the young winger.

The Blues have also employed Alvaro Morata to talk up life in London to his former Real teammate.

Real president Florentino Perez is desperate not to lose Asensio, but knows he has a battle on his hands given the way the player has been treated by coach Zinedine Zidane this season.

Should Zidane stay, there's little prospect of Asensio also sticking around next season.
