Chelsea are ready to break the bank to land Lille star Eden Hazard.

The Belgium international has been the subject of enquiries from Chelsea in recent weeks, which was confirmed by Lille officials.

Yesterday, Hazard declared he would be leaving Lille - and France - at the end of this season, in the process putting to bed the prospect of a £50 million move to PSG.

The Sunday Express says Chelsea are the front-runners and prepared to go as high as £40 million to land Hazard.
