Chelsea are being linked with a major bid for Bayern Munich striker Mario Gomez.

Chelsea have Gomez under consideration as an alternative to No1 centre-forward transfer target Radamel Falcao, of Atletico Madrid.

And Tz is now reporting that Chelsea are willing to cough up €30 million to bring Gomez to England in the summer.

Gomez is fed-up with his supersub role at Bayern and is ready to move on.

However, it's understood incoming coach Pep Guardiola has asked for a meeting with Gomez about his plans for next season before giving the green light for his sale.
