Chelsea are ready to push through a deal for Tiemoue Bakayoko despite the Monaco ace needing clean up surgery on a knee injury.
The Monaco star is on the brink of a £35million move to Antonio Conte's Blues, says The Sun.
But his transfer is being held up by a knock that required surgery at the end of last season.
There is also a disagreement between the clubs over the payment structure of his fee.
Chelsea are hopeful Bakayoko will pass his medical and be given approval to sign before they go on a pre-season tour to China and Singapore on Monday.
However, Bakayoko's injury remains a concern and it could be so bad that he misses the first month of Premier League action.
