Chelsea are watching Rennes midfielder Abdoulaye Doucouré.
The 22 year-old midfield ace has been scouted by Blues talent spotter Guy Hillion this season.
Hillion has sent glowing reports on Doucouré back to Cobham and convinced Blues chiefs to register their interest with Rennes this month.
Rennes insist Doucouré will not leave for less than £3 million.
A France U21 international, Doucouré has spent his entire pro career with Stade Rennais.
