Chelsea want THREE players from Southampton late in this summer's transfer window.

The London Evening Standard says Chelsea have finally decided to follow up their interest in Southampton right back Cedric Soares.

The champions think Southampton could be persuaded to agree a transfer for between £15-£20m.

The Blues are on good terms with Southampton, which has also put them in a strong position should the Saints decide to sell rebel defender Virgil van Dijk.

Their former left back Ryan Bertrand is the third Southampton defender they have considered this summer, although the England left back is behind two players on their wish-list for that position.
