Chelsea veteran Lampard confident of England progression after victory over Brazil

England midfielder Frank Lampard believes there is a great chance of qualifying for the 2014 World Cup after Wednesday night's friendly victory over Brazil.

Roy Hodgson's Three Lions beat Luiz Felipe Scolari's Selecao 2-1 at Wembley with Lampard scoring a 60th minute winner and the Chelsea star suggests the English team is in a comfortable place to progress from Group H qualifying where they currently sit second behind Montenegro with eight points from four games.

"The lads deserve a lot of credit because Brazil can't half move the ball. There was a lot of work-rate there," he told ITV1.

"We have played some good games against lesser opposition but I thought we did very well. We could have scored more.

"The important thing is the group matches. We've got to get to Brazil.

"But if we continue with that attitude and get a bit more flow to our game we should be all right."
