Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard says he feels fresh, despite a marathon season.
After featuring in 55 Chelsea games this season, a number that was reduced due to a calf strain that ruled him out for six weeks at the end of October, the 34-year-old was required to jet to America for a post-campaign outing against Manchester City.
Ahead of tonight's friendly for England, Lampard said: "This is the way forward in modern football.
"Chelsea played over 70 games this season but end of season tours are about taking the club worldwide from a commercial perspective.
"Individually, all you can do is try and do the right things: the basics. Train well, live your life right, rest in between.
"If you've got a brain, you can get through it."
