Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is lining up an offer for Sevilla wing-back Daniel Alves.
With the sale of Arjen Robben to Real Madrid close to being rubberstamped, Mourinho intends to use the money raised to bid for Brazil international Alves.
Chelsea held fresh talks with Alves' agents last week and will meet Sevilla's asking price boosted by the sale of Robben.
