Chelsea are expected to launch a fresh bid for Sevilla wing-back Daniel Alves today.

Flush with the £24.5 million raised from Arjen Robben's sale to Real Madrid, Chelsea are now expected to return to the negotiating table with Sevilla over a price for Daniel Alves.

Bernd Schuster, the new Real head coach, had also targeted Alves, but Real had balked at the price - £28 million.
