Manchester United will almost certainly miss out on signing Cesar Azpilicueta from Chelsea this summer.
That is the opinion of Spanish football expert Guillem Balague who suggests that Jose Mourinho is keen on luring the Spanish full-back from Stamford Bridge to Old Trafford.
However, Balague told Sky Sports that the Blues have absolutely no intention of allowing a player as important as 26-year-old Azpilicueta leave for a direct Premier League rival to join his former manager.
"The Portuguese manager (Mourinho) knows the player well but whether or not Chelsea would be prepared to sell Azpilicueta - at any price - to the club of their former manager and to a rival in England is another matter altogether," he opined.
"I very much doubt it."
Azpilicueta is also believed to be on the radar of Atletico Madrid, Athletic Bilbao, Bayern Munich, Barcelona and PSG but is highly unlikely to leave West London in the current transfer window.
