Roma fullback Emerson Palmieri is a target for Chelsea.

The Daily Mail says Chelsea are on the hunt for a new left-wing back to compete with Marcos Alonso next season and Roma's Emerson has been identified as a possible target.

The 23-year-old Brazilian has impressed in Serie A this year, with Dortmund and Atletico Madrid also thought to have monitored his performances.

Roma only recently signed Palmieri permanently from Santos after an initial loan spell which he largely spent as understudy to now Barcelona defender Lucas Digne.

But Palmieri's burgeoning reputation has seen Blues boss Antonio Conte look into the possibility of landing him.
