Chelsea to visit Singapore for first time

Chelsea are set to visit Singapore for the first time.

Chelsea will break new ground this year when they visit Singapore for the first time as part of their summer tour.

Antonio Conte and the Blues squad will play two matches at the National Stadium in the Lion City as they return to Asia for our 2017/18 pre-season preparations.

They will meet Bayern Munich on Tuesday 25 July before taking on Inter Milan on Saturday 29 July – both games are a part of the International Champions Cup and follow on from their match with Arsenal at the Beijing Bird's Nest, on 22 July.

Singapore's 55,000-capacity National Stadium opened in 2014 and boasts stunning views of the city's skyline as well as a retractable roof and state-of-the-art cooling technology.

Conte said: "I am very happy we have our pre-season tour plans for next season in place. Travelling to Singapore will give us excellent facilities to play and train, and we will face strong opposition. This is all good for my team and will help us to prepare for the next season.

"More importantly, I know Chelsea has millions of passionate fans in the region. I am looking forward to meeting them and I think we will play two exciting matches for them."
