Chelsea are willing to go to €50 million to convince AC Milan to sell Alessio Romagnoli.
La Republicca says an offer of €45m plus €5m in bonuses is being prepared by Chelsea.
It was revealed earlier this week that Milan had rejected an offer of €35 million from Chelsea for the stopper.
Milan are demanding a massive offer to sell Romagnoli due to a sell-on clause in his deal.
It means 30 per cent of any of the profit above the original €25m paid to Roma for the player would have to be turned over to the club from the capital.
