Paolo Guerrero headed home the only goal of the game on 69 minutes to take the trophy back to South America.

It was tough for Chelsea, which dominated the game and carved out the best chances.

Corinthians goalkeeper Cassio was in inspired form, turning away Chelsea strikes time and again. A wonder save from Victor Moses in the first-half was the pick of a long line of spectacular blocks.

Fernando Torres had the ball in the back of the net in injury-time, though his header was ruled offside.

Gary Cahill also saw red in the final minutes to compound a miserable outcome for Blues boss Rafa Benitez.
